Summary

An introduction to the world of Dr。 Seuss—for babies and babies-to-be!

Artfully adapted almost entirely from Ted Geisel’s work, this introduction to the world of Dr。 Seuss is a must for expectant parents and new babies! In simple rhymed verse, author Tish Rabe extolls the joys awaiting newborns when they meet the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Yertle the Turtle, the Great Birthday Bird, the Grinch, and twenty-five other beloved Seuss characters。 Written to be read aloud to babies and babies-to-be (yes, babies in utero!), the book includes a brief introduction by Mrs。 Dr。 Seuss—Audrey Geisel—revealing how she and Ted were fascinated by the idea that babies could hear sounds while still in the womb—and might actually respond to the voices of their parents。 A perfect gift for baby showers and newborns, Oh, Baby, the Places You'll Go! is the ideal way to nurture a love of reading and Dr。 Seuss in the very youngest children!

Bought this from Amazon for a pregnancy announcement。 We read it to our son a bit in the womb and a few times after he was born。 It's just alright as baby books go, good mostly for its sentiments references。 Bought this from Amazon for a pregnancy announcement。 We read it to our son a bit in the womb and a few times after he was born。 It's just alright as baby books go, good mostly for its sentiments references。 。。。more

Given the popularity of Oh, the Places You'll Go! as a baby shower gift, this reworked edition feels like the ideal cash-grab for manipulating expectant parents。 Given the popularity of Oh, the Places You'll Go! as a baby shower gift, this reworked edition feels like the ideal cash-grab for manipulating expectant parents。 。。。more

“You’re on your own。 And you know what you know。 And you are the one who’ll decide where to go。”This is more of a Dr Seuss clip show, but pretty good, nice sentiment。。。

Such a cute story。 I read this to my "little Peanut" while I was pregnant。 Brought tears to my eyes the first couple times I read it - it's s special moment for mom or dad to share with their growing little one。 This story, written by Dr。 Seuss's wife, introduces your infant to the crazy characters of Dr。 Seuss before they are born。 It's perfect for families who plan to read Dr。 Seuss books to kids while they grow up。 Highly recommend this book for any pregnant mom (and dad-to-be)! A beautiful tribute to Dr。 Seuss from his wife starts this storybook and then proceeds to fulfill an intention for parents to read to baby while growing in mama。 An adorable way to encourage bonding and early appreciation for story time for all children。 Nicely done!

This is a book about all the hypothetical places the baby will go once born。 As a child I always loved this book for its quarky rhymes and silly illustrations。 Now that I read it to my daughter almost every night it has more sentimental value than it did before when I was a child because it makes me think about her life and all the places I was her to visit and explore and all the things I was her to be able to do。 While this is just a silly book of rhymes if you look into the deeper meaning and This is a book about all the hypothetical places the baby will go once born。 As a child I always loved this book for its quarky rhymes and silly illustrations。 Now that I read it to my daughter almost every night it has more sentimental value than it did before when I was a child because it makes me think about her life and all the places I was her to visit and explore and all the things I was her to be able to do。 While this is just a silly book of rhymes if you look into the deeper meaning and apply it to your life specifically it much more than just silly rhymes。 The silly pictures will keep the attention of the children also the crazy made up words will have the kids wondering what could possibly be made up next。 。。。more

Those who appreciate Dr。 Seuss will delight in this take-off on his original book meant for older children and adults。 This book is geared toward what babies can appreciate and experience in the world。 Good fun。

I absolutely love this book。 I would read it to my girls when I was still pregnant with them and then again when they were babies。 Such a lovely book。

Enjoyable, lots of rhyming words and beautifully written to reflect the precious new moments that a baby brings。

Dr。 Seuss’s wife put this little book together from his works。 This is for a mother reading to her baby in the womb and she is introducing all the zany characters of the Dr。 Seuss world to the baby。 The premise is we cannot wait for you to get here。 It’s like a tour of the greatest hits。 His wife uses Dr。 Seuss’s word play and words so it does sound like a Dr。 Seuss work。My nephew really liked all the characters in this book。 He said there needed to be a robot。 He gave it 5 stars。I did think it Dr。 Seuss’s wife put this little book together from his works。 This is for a mother reading to her baby in the womb and she is introducing all the zany characters of the Dr。 Seuss world to the baby。 The premise is we cannot wait for you to get here。 It’s like a tour of the greatest hits。 His wife uses Dr。 Seuss’s word play and words so it does sound like a Dr。 Seuss work。My nephew really liked all the characters in this book。 He said there needed to be a robot。 He gave it 5 stars。I did think it was fun to take a tour of all his characters in pretty much one sitting。 All those good stories flashed before my eyes。 The hits are covered anyway。 。。。more

You can't go wrong with a Dr。 Seuss book! I've had this book on my book shelves for years and never picked it up to see what it was about until now。 What a cute, little read especially for little children。 Honestly though, this book could be for the young and old。 I enjoyed the story and looking at all the beautiful drawings that I have grown up with in other Dr。 Seuss books。 Great read for anyone! :) You can't go wrong with a Dr。 Seuss book! This is the best book to read to your pregnant belly and beyond。 I received this as a gift when I was pregnant with my son。 I read it everyday to my growing tummy。 After he was born I continued to read this book everyday。 It was the one thing that could settle him down for bedtime。 We added more and more Dr。 Suess books as he got older。 They were his favorite books。 When I got pregnant with my daughter I continued to read this book everyday。 My son knew the words at this point and would “read” a This is the best book to read to your pregnant belly and beyond。 I received this as a gift when I was pregnant with my son。 I read it everyday to my growing tummy。 After he was born I continued to read this book everyday。 It was the one thing that could settle him down for bedtime。 We added more and more Dr。 Suess books as he got older。 They were his favorite books。 When I got pregnant with my daughter I continued to read this book everyday。 My son knew the words at this point and would “read” along。 Again, the same magic。 My daughter loved this book and Dr。 Suess。 We practically had the entire collection。 Both of my children read early and grew to be avid readers。 I would add character voices and make reading fun every day。 We have quite a fondness for Dr。 Suess all because of this little book I read while pregnant。 。。。more
